With over 13 years in experience in Project Controls, my career has covered Marine Construction and Outfit, Nuclear Decommissioning, Maintenance and Operations, Production Operations, Construction and Waste Diversion and Disposal, integrating many disciplines such as Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Design, Safety, Waste retrieval and storage and Commercial support. These positions aided in providing me with an in-depth knowledge of Earned Value Management and understanding of Programme Controls systems and processes along with their application. I believe myself to be diligent, managing my own workload and working on initiative, proactive, flexible and resilient enough to overcome obstacles and support new ways of thinking. Position: Planning Engineer
· Leading and directing a Programme Controls Team (Planning/Cost/Risk) in the production of Lifetime Plan for the Operating Unit (E&EP);
· Responsible for the production and maintenance of a Primavera P6 detailed programme of all Tasks required within Operating Unit, including:
- Plant Enhancements;
- Electrical and Mechanical Installations and refurb/repairs;
- HVAC Installations and refurb/repairs;
- Safety System recommendations;
- Structural and Civil installations and repairs;
- Design only tasks (substantiation drawings, leak paths/rates, structural studies etc.)
· Updating and maintaining the Master Production Schedule for all Facilities within the Operating Unit;
- Carrying out routine EAC/ETC periodic updates and forecast EAC/ETC’s with relevant WSM’s and PM’s;
- Production and maintenance of Cost / Schedule Performance report and KPi graphs detailing BCWS, BCWP, ACWP (from SAP), forecast BCWP and EAC/ETC values;
- Interrogation of SAP for actual cost breakdown and analysis;
- Production of Work Breakdown Structures, Cost Breakdown Structures and Organisational Breakdown Structures.
· Controlling, monitoring, analysing and reporting on all M&O schedules within the portfolio;
· Updating and re-baselining of the project plan on an ‘as necessary’ basis during project lifecycles;
· Highlighting key cost/schedule variances on a financial period basis using Earned Value analysis and presenting options for recovery;
- Production of cost & resource loaded programmes to determine time phasing of expenditure and total project budgets;
· As part of the NJV, I trained Project Control Assistants within this area in the use of Planning systems, predominantly Primavera P6, v5.0.

Position: Planning Engineer
Employed by the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority, working on the Windscale Site at Sellafield as a Project Planner on Decommissioning Projects. Responsibilities included:
· Production of Near Term Work Plans and Life Time Plans per Project (Primavera P3e v5.0);
· Assisting in production of Basis of Estimate per project;
· Supporting the UKAEA Project Services Manager on Windscale Decommissioning Projects;
· Production of detailed/underpinning working schedules within Primavera P3e v5.0 and Microsoft Project;
· Conducting routine period end updating and statusing of programmes against the Baseline Plan;
· Period End schedule and cost variance, SPI and CPI reporting;
· Providing Network Diagrams as required.

Achievements
In July 2004, I successfully completed the New Planner Programme held by BAE Systems. The programme covered all aspects of the Planning function including Critical Path Analysis and gave training in all relevant Planning tools such as Artemis, Compass Contract, Oracle Discoverer, Microsoft Project and all general Microsoft Office applications.
Awarded the overall best Steelwork Apprentice by the Recognising Excellence Team, October 2001.
