I am writing to apply for the position of Planning Engineer - Dubai, as per the recent posting on Planning Planet. I am a Planning Engineer with 9 years of experience across the power, oil & gas, and marine sectors. More recently I have been working as a Field Engineer for a Dubai based company, but have kept up to speed with Primavera P6 and continue to prepare and update plans for the jobs that I am assigned to. Having read the job description I feel that I would be a very good match for the position. I am very comfortable at handling all of the duties mentioned and have good, solid, hands-on experience of working in the power industry.
I am currently posted in Morocco as Site Manager on a gas turbine major rehabilitation, though my base is in Dubai and that is where I'll be returning after job completion. The conditions of my current job (very long working hours, heavy travel) is the sole reason that I am looking to move, as it is putting a strain on my studies and other life goals.
