COMPARING CALENDARS IN ORACLE PRIMAVERA P6
|
|
I was asked by a student what is the simplest way to compare calendars in Oracle Primavera P6 and this post outlines a simple method that may be used to compare different calendars using P6. The process to compare existing calendars in P6 is:
- The user should create an activity for each calendar,
- Then assign the calendar to each activity,
- Switch on Necking for calendar nonwork time in the Bars from for the Critical and Non-Critical activities and
- Increases the timescale to so all splits in the nonwork time are visible.
- Display the grid lines as required:

CONVERT PRIMAVERA P6 GLOBAL TO PROJECT DATA

Global data in XER and XML schedules can often be conflicting and cause problems when external .xer/.xml files are imported into a P6 database.
Keep data values unique and avoid database pollution and corruption during an import of external project files by using ScheduleCleaner to convert Global to Project data.
