Takt in construction can be described as the overall ideal rate of progress of all construction activities. A rate faster than the ideal (Takt) creates more job buffers and excess inventory, which is waste. A rate slower than the ideal means that activities are taking longer than optimal and delays the next task, ultimately failing to meet the deadline.
THE CHARACTERISTICS OF A TAKT PLAN
There are a few things that all Takt plans need to have in order to earn their name. Characteristic

- #2: Rhythmic Characteristic
- #3: Flowing Characteristic
- #4: Buffering Characteristic

MICROSOFT PROJECT BLANK PROJECT ISSUES
|

When a user either uses the Project 1 file that is created when Microsoft Project is run or when a user creates a new project using the command File, New, Blank Project then the user ends up with a project file that is far from ideal.
There are a number of issues with the file that is created uing the Microsoft Project Global Template which is displayed in Organiser as the Global.MPT and it is recomended that this file is never used.
The aim of this article is to explain the issues with this template and suggest a solution which wil result in a project template that is far more user friendly than the project file created by selecting the command File, New, Blank Project, click on this link>>>.
