
Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year to all our members and especially those that have given up their valuable time for the PPAS, attended meetings, e-mailed PP with suggestions, called us, offered help, run a Consulate, sponsored us in some form or other.
Thank you for your support for 2010 and thanks in advance for the next. You all deserve a present from PP and here it is... The International Guild of Project Planning, Controls & Delivery (PPCD) is to be Incorporated on 1/1/11... with 'lift-off' on 4/4/11.
Only with you, our members input, will this exciting venture become what we all want; the first Planning-centric global Organisation to be: THE recognised Centre for Excellence with a qualified and audited membership which will continue to uphold and improve the standards and appreciation of Planning for the benefit of all.
News about our Guild will be in a special section within PP (refer below) until further notice – check it out, make your opinions known to: [email protected] So, dear member whilst your Christmas stocking is full – we need the help of our Community more than ever!
We need officers from within the PP Membership for your Guild
(1) A President – a figurehead, able to represent us in a Global sense, someone with the gravitas to head up a Global Guild... please mail us at ppadmin with your ideas... should he / she be for life or a term? How long?
(2) Senators – a group of 7 to 9 individuals tasked with running the Guild... each Senator will be voted for by you the MEMBERS OF PP in the first instance – they will hold office for two years and then either seek re-election or replacement. Each Senator will be seeking votes from you: he / she will detail his manifesto on PP and the voting will take place on www.planningplanet.com initially.
(3) Membership Committee – The individuals who will monitor the membership applications and generally ensure our members behave themselves (!) Again 7 to 9 in number.
(4) Guild Executive - we seek applications for this (to be) paid position – as membership numbers rise the Executive will become ever more important, running Guild finances, organising Events, ensuring the smooth running of the Guild in General. (5) Members - the really important issue! Register your interest in becoming a member…we are ensuring fees will be fair and you all know what a huge step forward this is… support it! Register your interest at: [email protected] just a short ‘I’m interested in joining’ will do… then back to carving the Christmas turkey!

Membership to your Guild recognizes achievement and competency – your Guild will enable you to increase your skills and be rewarded immediately by membership level and awareness within your global community wherever you live! Your Guild membership GUARANTEES your skills… agreed by your peers, the people truly qualified to independently evaluate you! Up to now this simply has NOT been available to us as professionals… this IS the strength of YOUR Guild.

What will be be doing in this period? We could add to the above actions: a Sponsors Committee, Employers Committee, Community Interest Groups (specialisations, Rail, Oil and Gas, etc)...we need your ideas! Regional Representative Offices, Annual General Meetings where awards will be given, awards of scholarships, subscription levels which will take into account earnings, etc...
A lot of very rewarding work! As previously stated, your Guild will recognise achievements with other Institutions and Confederations – we applaud them for their efforts – our Guild seeks to run alongside these excellent Organisations – we though, will specialise in Planning!

Our Next Event - Orlando Florida
PP is proud to announce that we will be attending the Construction CPM event in Orlando Florida from the 12-15 of January 2011. For further details please visit Construction CPM The event promises to be a great opportunity for our members to hear from great speakers in CPM while at the same time being able to meet with leading software vendors and professional bodies such as the PMICOS and AACEi. We hope to see as many of our members there as possible at our stand and will look forward to your contributions during our working sessions.
