Senior Planning/Scheduling Lead
About the Project - The Rotterdam Refinery (BPRR) with its 400kbd of crude processing capacity, its flexible configuration and extensive in and out bound logistics capabilities at the heart of Rotterdam trade hub is exploring the potential value of investing in a world scale Hydrocracker and associated units and revamps to achieve long term competitiveness. Pre-FEED engineering is ongoing, with FEED expect to begin in 4Q 2019.
Role Synopsis - The Planning and Scheduling Lead is responsible for developing appropriate plans / schedules for a major project (>$1bn) and maintaining these through project close-out. Schedule development includes the review and integration of BP & Contractor developed activities into an overall Master Control Schedule. The Scheduling Lead ensures appropriate schedule risk analysis is undertaken and progress is measured, implemented and reported. The role has a large and direct impact on the project timeline which impacts the overall cost.
The Scheduling Lead will be simultaneously responsible for overseeing the work of multiple contractor engineering discipline, material and equipment procurement and delivery, fabrication and construction activities. In support of these responsibilities, the Scheduler must interact with and integrate the requirements of the project team, Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractors and Control of Work (CoW), as well as Turnaround Planning when applicable.
Key Accountabilities
- Coordinate the development and maintenance of the Basis of Schedule that includes project deliverables, constraints, and assumptions with input from the project management team, functional leads, and EPC contractors
- Provide relevant & specific expertise to diagnose, investigate & overcome problems. Provide best practice advice & guidance as it relates to the scheduling process
- Act as a scheduling single point of contact for the assigned project execution team
- Facilitate integrated planning sessions
- Maintain compliance with guidelines and the Projects Common Process related to schedule policy, procedures, processes, guidelines, tools and templates
- Develop and maintain the integrated EPC Master Schedule in accordance with Basis of Schedule, Project Execution Plan (PEP) and Contracting Strategy to meet project goals and business objectives
