Cost Analyst

Strategy, systems and process
You’ll support the Head of department to plan, develop and supervise all cost and related controls functions - including strategy, systems and process within the HS2 Programme and Strategy Directorate - and ensure programme-wide adoption.
Single point of contact
You’ll be a single point of contact for all HS2 infrastructure costs, working closely with senior colleagues to implement and maintain cost management and estimating systems to ensure accurate reporting, benchmarking and analysis.
Providing valuable advice
Relationship-building skills will come to the fore as you provide expert professional cost advice to HS2 clients and external stakeholders.
We’re looking for quantity surveying skills, a comprehensive understanding of the construction industry and the ability to convert engineering data into meaningful cost-drivers. On a personal level, you’ll need an understanding of market trends, strong quantitative, drafting and presentational skills, and the ability to work at pace.
