Planning Engineer – Residential Buildings – Wembley
Pyramid Recruitment is working with a construction client in the UK, whom is urgently seeking a Planning Engineer from a contracting background to join their team on a major construction residential project in London.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Planning and scheduling the project by developing a project master schedule in line with the proposal requirements through the application of the Primavera P6 software
·Identifying the project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks and targets to determine the staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project through the project measurement system
·Implementing the work schedule and monitoring progress of the work for timely execution of the project through daily/weekly/monthly reports
·Monitoring the progress of specific projects on a regular basis. Anticipating and resolving any problems, bottlenecks/scheduling conflicts. Preparing and maintaining package work plans and monitoring progress to achieve on time or earlier deliveries to keep the project on schedule
·Coordinating internal project team reviews, including the approval and review of the client’s work schedule, progress measurement and reporting systems. Reviewing status reports, modifying schedules and plans as required and keeping the management and Project Director informed of the progress on a regular basis
·Ensuring the project controls documents such as resource histograms, schedules, reporting systems, material controls systems, etc. are fully developed by the designated personnel and reviewed by construction management and that Engineering and Procurement interfaces are properly addressed
PROFILE:
·5-10 years of experience in a Planning Engineer role
·Ideally: Degree Educated in Construction/ Engineering or similar (advantageous)
·Must have previous experience of working for contractors
·Candidates must be eligible to live & work in the EU unaided
