Senior Planning Engineer: Executive Search World Ltd is searching for our client whom requires, a senior planning engineer to work a construction project (s) based Scotland.
Our client is a forward thinking and dynamic building main contractor. Based from their regional office in Scotland, they specialise in constructing from front end thought to project delivery of major international projects.
The Senior Planning Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that the planning, sequence and methodology for a project is prepared correctly in an explicit and consistent manner and clearly demonstrates the methods of construction and all circumstances which may affect the execution of the work on a project. The position will be office AND site based with the successful candidate reporting to the planning leader. Key accountabilities will include production of competitive and realistic tender plans, programmes and contract programmes, thorough understanding of project, scope of works and restrictions and health & safety issues are considered when compiling programmes The successful planner will have a strong working knowledge of construction techniques, methodologies and processes on a variety of projects. The planner will have at least 8 years construction planning experience and will report directly to the Project Planning Leader.
Key Responsibilities
· Developing and maintaining programmes and other time related material (low to medium complexity).
· Implementing robust project controls and accurate reporting and forecasting.
· Implementing short term planning.
· Interfacing with the project and client team.
· Gain experience of Pre-Contract Planning and Work Winning.
· Professional Qualifications
· HNC / Degree in Construction Management, Civils or similar sector related.
· Membership CIOB.
