Sr. Projects Control Manager – Head of Scheduling

Mexico City

The Head of Scheduling is responsible for the implementation and management of the Enterprise and Sub-Program project controls planning/scheduling for a multi-billion dollar Aviation Program within the NAICM in line with industry best practices, program standards, corporate governance and all associated requirements. We are looking for an individual with International airport planning expertise.

This individual directly manages Project Planners/Schedulers, and reports to the Head of Program Controls for the Program’s day to day direction and the Head of Project Controls functionally for programmatic consistency and standards. This person is responsible and accountable to initiate / develop, capture, calculate, track, maintain, report, analyze and make recommendations on all planning/schedule, performance and related data and ensure all planning/scheduling data is kept current within the Enterprise Program Controls System and is consistent with program policies, procedures, and standards. This individual has oversight for all planning/scheduling Project Controls staff to ensure responsibilities and accountabilities are met to support the overall integrated Program Controls portfolio solution.

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or advanced Degree in Engineering or related discipline and 15 -20 plus years experience working within large organizations in a similar Program Controls roles. Candidates should have international airport construction project scheduling expertise.
  • In depth knowledge of planning/ scheduling and a working professional knowledge of related disciplines: estimating, cost control, change management, and document controls
  • Must be able to lead a team of 8 to 12+ planning/scheduling professionals. Must be a “hands on motivated self-starter” that can lead / manage autonomously with only conceptual input and/or periodic direction from the Head of Project Controls, develop detailed department mission objectives / plans and deliver within prescribed timelines.
  • Must possess strong attention to detail and accuracy, analytical skills, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills including presentation of data in highly professional formats (including tables, charts, graphics, colors / fonts etc.) to Program Management and the Client.
  • Demonstrated Primavera 6 experience, and related project controls software, such as Excel, and Document and Materials Control system required.
  • Bi lingual English Spanish communications skills are helpful
