Executive Search World Ltd has a client searching for Lead Planning Engineers / Managers based in Birmingham & Milton Keynes x2 positions working in either or. Our client is truly global & one of the top 10 contractors in Europe.
Requirements
· You will be a recognised Planning Lead with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role at a senior level (ideally within an aviation environment)
· You have considerable Planning experience showing clear career progression in the planning field through working with contractors .
· Successful applicants will have experience of working on Civil Engineering or Infrastructure projects – Rail, Roads, Bridges etc
· Knowledge in the use of Primavera (P3/P5/P6) and MS Project
· Strong verbal and written communication skills is essential
· The Planning Lead / Manager will oversee the following areas, but is not limited to them:
· Civil/structural
· Multi-level Car Parks
· Roads and tunnels
· Rail – Refurb, Stations & platforms
Responsibilities
· Project Planning and Scheduling
· Assist in managing logic networks based on critical path (P6)
· Assist in the development and preparation of weekly and monthly progress reports to the client
· Assist in the updating of the Baseline Schedule, including executive summary report
· Identify bottleneck areas and alerting management as well as develop solutions
· Coordinate and interface with client, and other sub-contractors daily
· Assist in the development of weekly snap shots as required by the client
· Attend meetings with the client and owner and provide information to team members regarding new direction or updated information
· Developing the appropriate systems and procedures to deliver services to client
· Assist in preparing time extension or delay analysis reports
· Coordinate with the Commercial Team to ensure planning goals are achieved
· Be a team Leader to ensure all deliverables are submitted in a timely fashion
· Review and sign off on all deliverables prior to submission to owner & client
· Interface with the Design Team to ensure issuance of designs meet the planned schedule
· Interface with the clients project managers and zone managers on a daily basis
Our client will offer an exceptions remuneration for Birmingham & Milton Keynes upwards £70,000 possibly to £90,000 per annum plus car & staff package
