Senior Dispute Resolution Consultant, Hong Kong, HKD150k p/m 

Responsibilities:

  • To act as an expert for quantum dispute matters
  • Able to produce good quality claim documents independently
  • Able to recruit and manage a team of dispute consultants and manage the Hong Kong regional office Provide management input into contractual and associated quantum matters
  • Compiling claims on prolongation costs, disruption costs (measured-mile);
  • Assisting with extension of time claims preparation & advice
  • Managing change calculation & re-rating
  • Handling & advising on claims relating to material/ labour fluctuation
  • Resolving re-measurement disputes
  • Advising on preambles interpretation & missing item disputes.
  • Preparation of notices Contract administration Variation Order (VO) valuation
  • Able to develop, account manage and grow work with new Hong Kong based dispute clients
  • Keen to attend & is effective at networking functions to develop further business
  • Is a recognised name with construction solicitors in Hong Kong and is well regarded

Experience:

  • Suitable applicants will have extensive Dispute Resolution experience both in Hong Kong and in the UK or elsewhere in the world and will have a proven record in producing good quality claim documents
  • Experience of acting as an expert for quantum matters and has experience of being cross examined would be an advantage
  • Experienced in managing a team or posessing the people skills in order to do so.
  • It would be advantageous if applicants also posessed additional skill sets such as mediation or a delay analyst capability or qualification
  • A fluent English and Cantonese speaker is essential

Qualifications:

  • FRICS qualified or equivalent is highly desirable
  • Additional qualifications such as an MSc in construction Law or FCIArb would be an advantage
