We are currently looking for a Claims Planning Manager to be a part of the growing team of experienced Airport Planning and Commercial Teams.
Reporting to the Project Director and Senior Claims Manager, this is an excellent opportunity to be seconded to a highly successful main contractor with a defined career progression structure and a very healthy outlook.
You will be responsible for a team of Claims Planning Engineers in preparing and reviewing extension of time requests for entitlement. As well as working in conjunction with the Claims Commercial team and the Projects Planning and Commercial Teams as well as liaising with the Clients team. The project is a large airport project contract and we work as an extension of staff in the delivery of a project controls management function for a key client within KSA on an iconic development in Jeddah Saudi Arabia.
Job Details: Requirements
- You will be a recognized expert with a minimum of 15 years experience in a similar role at a senior level (ideally within an aviation environment)
- You have considerable Planning experience showing clear career progression in the planning field through working either client side or for a consultancy.
- You will have considerable experience in preparing Extension of Time analysis for submission to the client as well as reviewing subcontractor claims for validity and compliance.
- Successful applicants will have experience of working on high value, high rise and other large scale building projects coupled with an excellent overall understanding of the Aviation industry
- Knowledge in the use of Primavera (P3/P5/P6) and MS Project is also essential
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills is essential
- Experience as a Project Manager as well as a Planning Manager is a plus
- Experience in identifying delays and preparing impact or time extension analysis reports

- Automated People Moving Systems (APM)
- Fuel Farms & Maintenance Facilities
Responsibilities
- Preparation of Extension of Time Analysis (EOT)
- Reviewing subcontractor delay claims
- Overseeing & Managing 3 Claims Planning Engineers, part of a 16 staff claims team
- Preparing analysis in critical path (P6) and windows method
- Assist in the development and preparation of weekly and monthly claim reports to the client
- Assist in identifying potential claims and/or time extension issues and alerting management as well as develop potential solutions
- Coordinate and interface with client, and other sub-contractors as required
- Chair and attend meetings with the client and owner and provide information to team members regarding new direction or updated information
- Developing the appropriate systems and procedures to deliver services to client
- Coordinate with the Claims Commercial Team to ensure delays and variations are analyzed properly
- Be a Team Leader to ensure all deliverables are submitted in a timely fashion
- Review and sign off on all deliverables prior to submission to owner & client
- Meet with subcontractors to review and understand their claim submissions
- Interface with the clients project managers and zone managers on a daily basis
- Interface with Projects Planning and Commercial teams
- Be part of a Team Peer Group to develop, manage and expand our functionality
