We have been engaged by a well-known management consultancy, a large company who are active UK-wide (and internationally) across a range of infrastructure sectors and projects. New developments with a major client mean they are now looking to recruit a Senior Planning Engineer based in East Anglia. Working as part of a team of planning and project management staff, you will act on behalf of their client to ensure that construction schedules proposed by various contractors are robust, deliverable and represent good value for money. You’ll need to combine software-based skills to manipulate, analyse and report on data, alongside a thorough understanding of how projects are put together at ground level.
It’s an important position, and you’ll have a critical impact on the company’s ongoing success. To be considered, you MUST:
- have a background in UK main contracting, consultancy or client-side environments for the nuclear, petrochem or industrial markets
- able to demonstrate experience of projects in excess of £20m;
- possess a strong background in project planning – not just driving the software, but also having a real understanding of actual construction techniques and sequences;
- have knowledge of EVA techniques and reporting;
- be able to use Primavera P6 or related software
Salary will be in the range of £45k - £55k + corporate benefits package.
