Planning Engineer – Permanent- Wales – Leading Main Contractor – Primavera P6 – Civils/Highways – Salary to £54,000 + package – Gold Group Ltd
This position is with a well know UK main contractor that was established over 100 years ago. They work on projects nationally that range in value from £500,000 to £500 million. Projects span the Utilities, Construction, Oil & Gas, Energy, Rail and Civils sectors. This contractor over the years has built a well-established and highly thought of planning department, led by one of the UKs most reputable planners who is passionate about his team and helping his employees to develop and progress offering them one on one support at all levels within the hierarchical structure.
Having recently one a place on a large framework in Wales that focuses on highways works, this contractor has outlined a requirement for an experienced planner to join the team.
The role:
- Planning, programming, progress control
- Assessing design, procurement, consents, construction and commissioning
- Analysing and reporting early warning signs
- Circa 80% tender planning out of a Cardiff office
- 20% site based planning
- Preparation and presentation of reports
- Liaising with local authorities, customers, designers, subcontractors and suppliers
- Maintaining and communicating the master programme
- Pre-Construction
- Primavera P6
Candidate Specification:
- Minimum 5 years planning experience in a civils team for a leading UK main contractor
- CSCS Card
- NEC 3 contract experience
- Strong tender and site planning experience
- Relevant degree or qualification
- Solid Primavera P6 experience
- Presentation and client liaison experience
- Highways experience would be highly beneficial
- A full UK driving licence is essential
- Must be eligible to live and work in the UK (ESSENTIAL)
