Executive positions

It is expected that you will have a minimum of 15 years’ experience in the engineering or construction industry, with progressive responsibilities for cost, schedule, and supervision of project controls personnel.  You will have a demonstrated ability to lead all activities with respect to business management, cost management, and planning for major projects, and will be experienced in training and supporting the client's project controls workforce on multiple projects. We expect that you will have an expert understanding of large projects, project scheduling, schedule resource loading/levelling, and multiple cost control techniques.  You will also be very experienced in reviewing and analysing construction/engineering programs, and provide guidance based on best practices and sound judgement, and be experienced in business development and proposal development.

Desired Requirements

  • Master’s degree (or higher) in engineering, accounting, finance, or business
  • 15 years minimum combined construction experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, power, mining, and commercial sectors
  • Extensive experience in management of project controls systems including developing project controls procedures, processes and methodologies
  • Successfully leading a project controls team and developing and establishing appropriate project controls practices for large organisations
  • Experience working with multi-national and government organisations
  • Extensive knowledge of Primavera P6, Microsoft Project and other Microsoft products 2007 or higher
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Ability to direct and perform research and analysis on complex processes and situations
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong relationships in diverse team environments across all organisational levels
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Presented in conferences or other venues regarding Project Controls topics

Junior/Mid-level positions

Requirements:

  • Degree qualifications in engineering
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in either design, project management, project controls or construction based roles, preferably on infrastructure, oil and gas or industrial projects
  • Experienced in project cost, project scheduling and schedule resourcing, and multiple cost control techniques.
  • Broad knowledge of project controls practices, concepts and principles.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills across all levels
  • Willingness to undertake all activities to assist the project controls team
  • Advanced skills in Primavera 6, Microsoft Project and other Microsoft products 2007 or higher
  • Ability to travel to clients’ sites as required
