URGENT REQUIREMENT – Permanent, Planning Engineer, M & E, Crossrail, London, Salary up to £55,000 + package
Leading main contractor with a high turnover and fantastic project portfolio is looking for an experienced planning engineer to join a growing team and work on a large Crossrail site in London. This role has arisen due to a high increase in workload following a number of successful tenders.
The position will focus on dealing directly with clients, programming, project-coordination, looking at as build plans and working closely with project managers. This is an NEC contract and uses both Asta and Primavera P6. The planner will be site based. This site will involve installing a new entrance, concourse, ticket station, CCTV and security, gates, lifts and an extended platform.
The applicant:
- Will hold a minimum of 4 years planning experience working for a main contractor in the UK
- Will have experience of m & e/mechanical & electrical and a relevant degree or qualification
- Experience working on a rail project is beneficial but not essential
- Will have used either Primavera P6 or Asta Powerproject or both
- Background will be mainly site based, tender planning experience will be beneficial
- NEC contract experience
- Will be well spoken, highly motivated and have strong written skills
- Will have experience of client liaison
- A project management or site management background before moving into planning is desired
