Senior Planning Engineer, Consultancy – London
Senior Planning Engineer is currently required by a prestigious consultancy that offers engineering expertise to a diverse range of high value and complex projects globally. The Senior Planning Engineer will join a specialist team based in central London and be responsible for providing expertise in planning for a range of complex projects within aviation, rail, building and energy sectors that range up to a value of £250m. The Senior Planning Engineer will be office based but will be required to visit live projects and client’s offices within the London area.
Responsibilities
· Delivery of the lead construction planning role for internal and external clients, primarily in the buildings sector, but also in infrastructure and energy.
· Winning work for the Project Planning team.
· Responsibility for their own billability and profitability and in due course other members of the team.
· Be aware of developments and best practice within the Project Planning profession
· Support the leader of the Project Planning team in the management of the Planning team.
Candidate Specification
· Professional qualification, ideally to degree standard, in an engineering or building discipline
· Minimum 8 years of experience of construction planning on significant construction projects
· Strong site based experience.
· Various sector experience beneficial and aviation experience a distinct advamtage.
· Strong user of planning software packages.
· Very good communicator (verbal, written and listening) and with strong influencing skills
· Good Client Facing skills
