This is a wonderful opportunity to join an established Sub-Contracting company involved in the revitalisation and upgrade of the London Underground and National Rail systems. They seek a Planner with proven Primavera P6 planning experience on Rail Civil Engineering and Building schemes including platform upgrades and extensions, concrete foundations, lift shafts, ramps, safety barriers, block work, tiling and remodelling of stations, office and mess rooms.

Role and Responsibilities:

The primary function of the role of P6 Planner will be to implement and manage the planning and programming activities to meet project objectives efficiently on time and within budget.  Key responsibilities include creating tender programmes, labour histograms,  develop cost plans and cash flows for projects, labour resource statements / shift patterns, reporting of plan against actual progress and forecasts to date, provide planning and schedule date input and monthly reporting.

The successful P6 Planner will be familiar with working within fast paced rail civil engineering environments with the ability to multi task and have a ‘hands on’ approach to work.

Requirements:

The minimum requirements for the P6 Planner role include:

* Minimum HND/HNC or higher qualification in a relevant discipline
* Excellent Planning skills, ideally within a rail civil engineering environment
* Proficient in the use of Primavera 6 is essential
* Sub-contractor or main contractor background
* Small projects / schemes experience (approx. £2mil value)

Package and Benefits:

This position attracts a basic salary circa £40,000 together with a negotiable benefits package and 20 days holiday.
