Company/project: Large Civil Engineering Contractor working on a major Rail project.



Essential skills/experience: My client is looking to bring onboard a Senior Planner/Planning Manager to work on large Rail project in the North. The successful candidate is likely to be based in London for the first 3 months of the project after which they will be site based in the Chesire area. This person must therefore be flexible in terms of location. The project is likely to last for 5 years and the Planning Manager will effectively be second in charge on the Project, such is the importance placed on this person. The successful candidate will be proficient in Primavera P6, will have Project Controls experience and is likely to hold a degree in Civil Engineering.



Role/duties: You will report into the Project Director and will develop and maintain the P6 programmes. Additional responsibilities will include ensuring the project leadserhip are informed of progress, issues and opportunities to ensure project targets are met.



Qualifications: Degree or similar technical qualification in Civil Engineering in addition to excellent IT skills.
