Planner – Earned Value Management

Thales are recruiting for an Earned Value Management (EVM) Planner to co-ordinate, lead & maintain the Earned Value Management System on one of our high profile transportation programmes based in Canary Wharf, London. The role is required to provide accurate performance management information to the Senior Management Team, including planned, actual, earned value, forecast & variances.
The development and optimisation of Thales’ project control systems has lead to an opportunity for an experienced Earned Value Management Planner, to join the Programme’s Project Controls Team. This is a vital role that will enable the governance & maintenance of the Performance Measurement Baseline, together with integration of schedule & budget data in order to produce performance management reporting into the Programme’s Senior Management Team.
The key focus is to ensure that clear, accurate & topical status & forecast information is available in order to facilitate management of the programme.
An in depth experience of EVM Planning methodology and its application on projects is absolutely essential for this role as is significant hands on experience of a project planning tool, preferably Primavera. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability in transposing data into meaningful management information.
This role is based on the Jubilee and Northern Line Upgrade Programme (JNUP), installing new, state of the art signalling equipment to enable a faster, more efficient service to be run on both lines.
