Senior Planning Engineer, Construction – Bristol
Senior Planning Engineer is required by a leading name in UK main contracting to join their regional operations in the South West. The company is highly regarded within the UK construction market and have a reputation for their high standards and providing solutions to complex projects.
The Senior Planning Engineer is required to recent project wins and an increase in workloads within their South West operations. The Senior Planner will be responsible for both tender and contract planning of medium to large construction projects in the region. The Senior Planner will initially take a lead planning role on a £50m development with the balance of their time spent either within their Bristol based tendering team or providing contract planning to another one of their live projects valued at £90m.
Duties
· Production of tender and construction programmes.
· Monitor, review and report on construction progress through droplines, critical path analyses and ‘S’ curves.
· Logistical planning and the production of written submissions for tenders i.e. method statements, traffic, and logistical plans, time slices, hoisting analysis and risk reporting as part of a project team.
· Provide advice for pre-qualification processes.
Candidate
· Minimum 5 years planning experience.
· Tender & Contract planning experience on UK construction projects.
· Main Contractor background.
· Strong user of Asta Powerproject.
· Good understanding of different forms of contracts.
· Engineering qualification.
· Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
· Understanding of BIM and 4D visualisations desired but not essential.
