Senior Planning Engineers
Logmor Projects International Limited is searching for Senior Planners that want to be based in South Africa, ideally that have Power Station experience but have poven cost control and leadership skills.
The successful planning engineers will be able to read and interpret drawings and interpret technical specifications; Maintain the Master Schedule, Crate project controls progress and productivity reports, Implementation and control of the strategy and Change management
This excellent opportunity will require you to be responsible for Loading the baseline programme with resources (both labour and materials) and produce all necessary histograms, Progress baseline programme weekly, notify senior staff of variances according to plan and advise on options that can be taken to get back on plan, able to take V.O.'s, site instructions and escalations into consideration, produce short term programmes in conjunction with the construction teams, contribute appropriately to daily, weekly and monthly reports, formalise, advise and monitor site supervisory staff of the required productivity outputs and resource requirements to achieve the contract activity target programme, Measures performance against requirements and provides feedback and support, Has regular meetings with all project stakeholders to understand progress, variations, changes in focus and priorities and communicates the same to the project planning team, liaise with Construction Manager regarding optimal staffing requirements of each project, Clarifies the project planning staffs roles and performance expectations precisely, Provide on-the-job training and coaching and ensures a high level of competency amongst Planning staff and chair a ‘Plan of the Day’ meeting with the client and the construction team.
Competency Profile:
Qualification:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, preferably a Mechanical Engineering Degree
- Computer literate and knowledge of Primavera (Preferably P6).
