Client:
Leading main contractor that operates internationally covering all sectors. This role is to work within an award winning South East construction planning team based out of an office in Cambridgeshire. Projects worked on range in value from £5 million to £60 million and include warehouses, office blocks, mixed use schemes, universities, sheltered accommodation, schools (BSF), hospitals, hotels and retail developments.

The role:
- Senior Planning Engineer
- £55 million engineering development project
- NEC 3 contract, cat 3, 2 meter thick concrete slab
- Site and tender planning all around the Cambridge area
- Software in use includes Asta Powerproject and Microsoft Project
- Assist with team management and mentoring of Junior Planning Engineers
- Attend client meetings, management of client expectations and needs
- Working closely with project managers, estimators, pre-construction managers
The Candidate:
- Minimum of 6 years planning experience within the construction market
- A UK main contractor background is essential
- Tender and site planning experience using Asta Powerproject
- Good communication skills and the confidence to advise other members of the team of best practice
- Ideally a background in mentoring junior members of the team
- Longevity in CV, candidates should be looking for a long term opportunity where they can grow and develop
- A relevant degree or masters would be beneficial but not essential
