Company/project: My client, a large Consultancy are looking to bring onboard an experienced Project Planner to work on the HS2 London-Birmingham rail project.
Essential skills/experience: Due to an increase in workload a Project Planner, with a minimum of 6 years experience, is required to join a busy team in either Surrey or Reading, initially on a freelance basis with a view to Temp to Perm. As an experienced Planner you will be used to running jobs through the full life cycle of planning as a stand alone Planner on high value projects. It is imperative that this candidate has experience of working in BOTH the Rail and Road space aswell as having Earthworks experience.
Role/duties: You will report into the Planning Manager and take responsibility for a range of projects from tender stage through to construction and should be familiar with live project planning/programming, tender planning and claims/forensic analysis.
Qualifications: Degree or similar technical qualification in Civil Engineering in addition to excellent IT skills. A strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 is essential.
