Programme Planner – East Sussex
A leading UK organisation is currently seeking to appoint a Programme Planner for their operations in East Sussex. The Programme Planner will join an already existing team that are responsible for a major highways maintenance programme which is being delivered on behalf of their client the Highways Authority. The Programme Planner will be responsible for the overall programme of works to enable the effective utilisation of resources and maximisation of commercial return from the contract.
Responsibilities
- Undertake the planning and programme function to enable resource management of the maintenance and improvement activities to be delivered effectively and efficiently.
- Ensure all works are programmed, planned and estimated to ensure compliance with commercial procedures to review risk and opportunity.
- Provide the information of programme linked to resources in a timely and accurate manner to ensure contract management team are able to manage the process and resources cost effectively.
- Liaise and manage the interface with the supply chain to ensure that there is a consistent approach to programming and planning works within the contract.
- Produce the documentation necessary to communicate monitor and deliver programmes approved by the client including schedules, timescales, resources and budgets.
- Work with the operations team and provide the programme in sufficient detail and with suitable allowance for time to enable method statements, estimates, safety documentation and other contractual documentation to be provided prior to commencement of work on site.
- Assist in the estimating activities as required.
- Create and maintain individual scheme programmes
Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience to be considered for this opportunity:
· Understanding of planning and estimating processes, tools and techniques.
· Minimum of 2 years planning experience.
· Good knowledge of MS Project and Excel.
· Hold an engineering qualification.
· Experience of Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) and Value Engineering (VE).
· Possess strong communication skills both written and verbal.
On offer is a basic salary of up to £37,000 per annum plus a benefits package which includes a car allowance of £335 per month, pension, healthcare etc.
