Senior Planning Engineer – Perth, Australia
My client is a well-known main contracting business that has been established for over 50 years which during this time has developed a forward thinking and focused business that is experienced in the delivery of large scale major projects across the globe. Due to current workloads they are currently seeking to expand their Engineering and Infrastructure business in Perth that works across sectors including Oil & Gas, Roads, Rail, Pipelines, Water and Ports.
A Senior Planning Engineer is currently required to work on a 15/6 FIFO basis from their Perth office on one of their major projects. They are seeking an experienced Senior Planning Engineer with a minimum of 7 years of experience in the construction / engineering industry.
Responsibilities
- Incorporate Resource and/or Cost Loading data into schedules as required.
- Contribute to the development of working schedules for Estimating, prior to proposal date, which sufficiently illustrate the sequence of work activities and contract time.
- Consult the appropriate project team members and estimating procedures as a means of ensuring that proper planning is completed prior to the commencement of work.
- Assist Project Managers in creating short-term schedules, monitor such schedules to determine impact on master schedule, and help in formulating actions to correct scheduling problems.
- Responsible for the collation, production, obtaining approval and distribution of weekly and monthly reports.
- Ensure compliance with contractual reporting requirements and understanding of requirements and reports by project team.
Candidates
· Minimum 7 years planning experience.
· Engineering qualification.
· Main contracting experience.
· Major project experience.
· Previous construction, water, major civil engineering, infrastructure experience preferred.
· Stable career history.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
