We are currently seeking a Transportation Engineer/Planner for our Charlotte, NC office. This position is responsible for corridor studies, access management studies, traffic analysis, micro-simulation, travel demand modeling and crash /safety studies.
Requirements
- Accredited Bachelor or Master of Engineering/Planning degree or other professionally recognized equivalent discipline.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience within the field of transportation engineering/planning.
- Experience in the performance/management of tasks associated with transportation engineering and transportation planning projects, serving in a professional role advising clients and staff, consulting and review of work as an expert in the field of traffic engineering.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Writing sample required.
- Ability to work independently with general supervision.
- Experience with planning studies, traffic analysis, travel demand modeling and simulation programs.
Preferred Qualifications
- PE license or AICP certification.
- Ideal candidate will have eight (8) years experience in urban planning projects or traffic engineering projects
- VISSIM experience.
- Travel Demand Modeling software experience.
- MPO experience.
