I am searching for a Project Planner who has worked closely with Permanent Way teams within the Rail sector. You will have a good understanding about possessions, closures, and access planning and be able to integrate pway plans into a master schedule.  Understanding site works and activities is important and a technical understanding would also be helpful in working with sub contractors and identifying potential problems and delays in various schedules. Planning skills required include performance and progress, critical path and delay, earned value, wbs, and cost and resource loading schedules. Existing projects relating to the programme include track, electrification and power supply, signalling, and civils works. P6 will be used.

The day rate will depend on your knowledge and ability and will therefore range from £350 to £420 a day.  The contract is long term, exceeding 12 months and the programme is due to close down in December 2013. You will be located in the South East London offices.

My client provides engineering and construction related services within the Rail sector.  Projects include tunnelling, structural and civil engineering, mechanical and electrical projects, power supply, station modernisation, and utilities.
