An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Planner, for Electronic Systems based in Rochester. This role will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and analysing the various project schedules (including work package, control account, and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)) for programme baselines, and internal/external reporting of schedule performance measurements.
The successful incumbent will provide technical support to Programme Management, Planning and Control, and the Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to ensure the quality and integrity of the overall schedule network.
As a Project Planner your main responsibilities will involve:
- Responsible for network scheduling for initial contract baseline development and baseline modifications, working with Project personnel and Programme Manager in defining requirements, earned value criteria, and interdependencies.
- Using critical path methodology (CPM) establish the logical relationships for development of IPT network
- Risk identification - determining which risks might affect the project
- Integrate subcontractor schedules into one major project schedule network to support earned value reporting and management analysis of prime/subcontractor interdependencies and issues.
- Facilitate critical path analysis reviews at the IPT/CAM level, including development of work-around plans to minimise programme schedule impacts.
- Prepare and present project/programme status to local and Programme management.
- Perform or direct the performance of any internal customer required/requested analyses or reports relating to Program Management, Schedule Performance Measurements, Performance Risk Analysis, etc.
As a Project Planner your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
- HND /Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline is desired.
- Previous experience of programme planning and control experience
- Knowledge and experience of project planning toolsets required, Microsoft Project.
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management, Schedule Risk Analysis and Cobra advantageous would be advantageous.
