Due to the successful award of a number of new contracts and long term frameworks within the South East and M4 Corridor, a multi-disciplined rail engineering contractor seeks to employ four Lead / Senior Planning Engineers to be based in their offices in Hertfordshire.
These highly rewarding positions will see you play a lead role in the preparation and development of project programmes ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and to budget.
The Role & Requirements
The key purpose of the role of Lead / Senior Planning Engineer is to take the ownership and lead of all planning and reporting activities for selected projects. You will develop comprehensive project programmes using Primavera P3e/P3 incorporating all resource, materials and cost estimates as well as providing all earned value forecasting and reporting. You will monitor and analyse each programme on a regular basis and provide accurate data to the Project Managers ensuring that all project activities are delivered against time and budget. You will chair regular project meetings updating the project teams on all engineering activity.
Requirements
In order to be considered for the position of Lead / Senior Project Planner, candidate will need to demonstrate and possess the following:
Experienced in project planning
Excellent knowledge of Primavera P3e / P3
Experience of working on UK rail engineering projects such as signalling, electrification or telecoms
In return you will be offered a starting salary of between £38,000 - £45,000 dependant on experience accompanied with 25 days annual leave with the option of additional days, pension and other associated benefits.
