Integrated Planning Manager
Staff role to £ 80,000 plus bonus Based Aberdeen or London
Our client is the Exploration & Production division of a major international energy company.
This integrated planning role is responsible for ensuring that appropriate company-wide planning systems and processes are in place and functioning effectively.
It has the authority to assimilate all resourcing and scheduling information of any kind from all departments and projects to enable the early identification of any risks or threats that may hinder projects, operations or departments from achieving their milestones and goals or, conversely, the early identification of opportunities that might arise.
The activities of the Integrated Planning Manager will include:
- Setting the standards in terms of process, procedures, protocols and work instructions for the planning function.
- Ensuring these standards meet the needs of the organisation.
- Ensuring corporate requirements for reporting are incorporated into the standards.
- Ensure the organisation understands and complies to the standards and to audit and to maintain those standards.
- Ensure the projects, operations and departments are supported by sufficient levels of resource through working with each team in the identification and appointment of suitable resources.
- Manage the collation and aggregation of the company wide integrated plan including individual projects plans, developments, operations, non-operations activities and company initiatives.
- Work with company senior managers to define the integrated plan reporting requirements.
- Administer the planning system and ensure sufficient support is in place.
- Increase the company’s understanding, documentation and communication of Risks and Risk management as relevant to the Planning process.
The appointed candidate will have significant dealings with all departmental managers, middle management and supervisors responsible for managing project, departmental deadlines and resources.
Candidates will need to have strong influencing and presentation skills and be committed to continually seeking to improve the effectiveness of the planning related process. There will be regular communication of the organisation's schedules and risks to senior management.
To be considered candidates must be qualified at least to degree level and, ideally, have a broad range of E&P experience. Applicants with relevant experience gained in regulated industries such as Nuclear, Rail or Aviation will also be welcome. A fundamental grasp of planning methodology and Primavera is necessary.

Depending on the appointed candidate's preference this role can be based either in Aberdeen or London.
