A national engineering and construction consultancy are looking to appoint a Project Planner to be based in Lancashire.  This multi discipline organisation provides a range of services to the rail, energy, power and engineering industries and value themselves on their renowned record for safety, quality and industry integrity, along with an excellent reputation.

As Project Planner, you will implement and manage the planning and programming activities to meet the project objectives efficiently and within deadline.  You will be responsible for setting realistic targets, in conjunction with the Project Manager and Construction Manager, setting benchmarks in support of the full programme plan.  Other key areas include managing planning schedules, utilising the planning tool Primavera 6 and confirm that outage plans are set in place.

Extensive travel will form a part of this role to various sites, so flexibility to travel is essential to this role.

To apply for this Project Planner role you must have:
* Degree qualified in an engineering discipline preferred
* Substantial planning experience within power or utilities markets
* Background in HV projects
* Proficient user of Primavera 6
* Strong understanding of Earned Value
* Commercial acumen
