Senior Site Planner - Saskatchwan
My client is a global EPCM organization that employs circa 10,000 people for their operations worldwide within specialist sectors including mining, minerals, infrastructure, transportation and energy sectors. Due to increasing workloads they are currently seeking to appoint a Senior Site Planning Engineer to join their team based on the Colonsay Project in Saskatchewan to provide to the ongoing project.
The Senior Site Planning Engineer will be responsible for the following:
- Comply with all requirements of the Project Execution Plan (PEP) relating to duties and responsibilities of this position.
- Dealing with internal and external client’s requirements.
- Review and manage contractor Level -4 schedule, Carry out variance analysis, highlight key issues impacting progress and recommend action plan.
- Approve Contractor progress
- Attend all contractor progress meetings
- Update overall Level 3 and Level 2 schedule based on the contractor level 4 schedule
- Review outgoing bid and advise and approve contract durations
- Update monthly progress report.
Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience to be considered for this opportunity.
- Engineering diploma or degree.
- Experience in engineering consulting in a heavy industrial environment.
- Planning/scheduling experience in large or mid size projects on site
- Proficiency in MS project, Suretrak and Primavera P3 software.
- Good general basic understanding of all engineering disciplines.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
