Project Controls Director - Vancouver
Gold Group Ltd is currently partnering a global EPCM organization that employs circa 10,000 people for their operations worldwide working within specialist sectors including mining, minerals, infrastructure, transportation and energy sectors to appoint a Project Controls Director for their operations in Vancouver.
The Project Controls Director will be responsible for the overall delivery of the Project Controls function within their Vancouver office that service Mining and Energy companies on medium to large scale projects. The Project Controls Director will manage a large team of 30 plus Estimators, Project Controllers, Cost Controllers, Planning Engineers and Schedulers and ensure that best practices are applied to all the projects delivered from the Vancouver office.
Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience to be considered for this opportunity:
- Degree educated or equivalent within an engineering discipline.
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills at all levels including clients, corporate and project management, as well as all levels of internal staff.
- A minimum of ten years relevant experience in all aspects of project controls.
- Significant experience in major projects delivery.
- Experience in the management of large teams.
- Experience in project planning, shutdown planning and brown field sites planning.
- Experience in cost and project controls related to capital projects.
