A high-profile engineering consultancy has just created this opportunity for a Senior Planner to join them in the North West of England. You’ll get to work straight away on a major rail project which will change the lives of millions. Working as part of a planning team, you’ll be responsible for producing, updating and reporting on production schedules for rail track works (permanent way), ensuring the works are completed on time and on budget. You’ll engage with a range of project stakeholders internally and externally, making sure up-to-date and accurate information is obtained and entered into the programme. It’s an interesting, diverse role and you’ll have an important impact on the project’s success. Plus you’ll have a high-profile project name and a well-known employer to add to your CV. You’ll also get the chance to client is to forge a long term career in one of the sector’s most successful companies.
To be considered, you must meet the following criteria:
- demonstrable experience as a Project Planner in the UK
- demonstrable experience of planning p-way projects, in the UK rail sector;
- experience of working on the contractor-side;
- strong ‘hands-on’, delivery-phased planning experience on site-based projects;
- proven ability to use Primavera P3/P5/P6;
- excellent interpersonal skills – assertiveness, ability to elicit information, verbal and written communication.
The position is offered on a freelance basis at c. £325 - £400 a day (according to experience).
