Planning Manager – Civils - £60,000 plus package
Gold Group Ltd is currently partnering a well recognised and respected Main Contractor that delivers major construction projects internationally to appoint a Planning Manager for a major multi million pound scheme based in Central London. The Planning Manager will be based on site and play a key role in the delivery of a £300m design and construct project that consists of civil, tunnelling and E&M works.
The Planning Manager will report into the Project Planning Manager and they will oversee a team of Planning Engineers responsible for the surface works. The Planning Manager will be responsible for:
- Working closely with the Surface Works production team to investigate alternative methodologies of undertaking the works to reduce the programme, cost or risk.
- Advising the Section Manager on all aspects of planning relating to civil and traffic management works
- Preparing and co-ordinating the production of both weekly, period and longer term reports and develop detailed work programmes as required.
- Mantaining the contract programme, produce updates and develop compensation event programmes.
- Producing reports for senior management and the client.
- Reviewing supplier programmes and incorporate into the whole programme.
Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience to be considered for this opportunity:
- Qualified in an engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years planning experience.
- Experienced in the planning of large complex civils works.
- UK rail industry experience.
- Earned Value Analysis experience.
- Strong working knowledge of NEC3 form of contracts.
