Planning Manager – Civils - £60,000 plus package
Gold Group Ltd is currently partnering a well recognised and respected Main Contractor that delivers major construction projects internationally to appoint a Planning Manager for their Pre Construction Team based in Hertfordshire. Their UK operations work out of a network of offices that enables them to provide project delivery and construction expertise locally to their clients.
The Planning Manager will join their Civil Engineering Division’s tender team and be responsible for working alongside the Pre-Construction team and playing an important part in the continuation of their success and helping the business secure further high profile projects within the roads, rail, nuclear, water and energy sectors.
The Planning Manager will be responsible for preparing well-engineered programmes, which add to the tender chances of success, assessing tender temporary works requirements and value engineering solutions, assessing tender major quantities and assess errors/discrepancies and presenting programme philosophy and tender strategy advantages to client at interview/presentation. The Planning Manager will also provide support and training when required to a team 4 other planning engineers within the team.
Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience to be considered for this opportunity:
- Good understanding of various forms of tender documents, contract documents and specifications.
- Good understanding of various methods of planning, programming and progress monitoring.
- Good understanding of risk and opportunity management with particular reference to planning/programming.
- Good understanding of the construction market, methods of construction, plant, equipment and labour requirements.
- Previous Tender experience on major civil engineering projects.
On offer is a basic salary of up to £60,000 per annum plus an attractive benefits package which includes car or car allowance, pension, healthcare etc.
