Senior Cost Controller – Brisbane
Gold Group Ltd is currently partnering a global EPCM organization that employs circa 10,000 people for their operations worldwide working within specialist sectors including mining, minerals, infrastructure, transportation and energy sectors. Due to increasing workloads they are now currently seeking a Senior Cost Controller to join a team responsible for a major coal mining project.
The Senior Cost Engineer will be required to work on a FIFO (Fly In Fly Out) basis and applications are welcome from suitable candidates that are seeking either permanent or freelance opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing advice and input with regards to work measurement and costing.
- Communicate with the Construction Engineering and Contracts Administration to ensure timely and accurate cost and work measurement data is available for processing in project control.
- Contribute to total hour project for trends and forecast reports and prepare hour, cost and quality ledgers.
- Provide field budgets for contracts and field let subcontracts and analyse budget and cost report trends.
- Perform cost studies and coordinates with the field administration and material control to include purchase order requisitions committed in cost reports.
To be considered for this opportunity candidates will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Minimum of 7 years experience as a Cost Controller.
- Previous experience of Mining EPCM projects and a good understanding of how cost control principles apply to EPCM projects.
- Knowledge of Primavera.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team.
