In August 2013 the World Police & Fire Games will be staged in Northern Ireland, attracting approximately 25,000 visitors from over 71 countries to see up to 14,000 athletes competing in 67 sports. They will inject more than £15m into the local economy. The Northern Ireland Executive is supporting the 2013 Games through the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure (DCAL). DCAL has established 2013 World Police and Fire Games Limited (2013 WPFG Ltd) to deliver the Games.

police__fire_games_logo.jpgSIB is assisting 2013 WPFG Ltd in recruiting a Programme Manager (Fixed Term contract) to lead on completion of a comprehensive programme plan to drive the organisation and delivery of the Games. You will report to the Chief Executive, organising the Company’s resources in line with the programme plan, up to and through delivery of the Games to the successful conclusion of the Company’s business.

You must be a successful programme management practitioner. You must be an effective organiser, communicator and team player. Successful programme management experience in sports or events management is desirable. The role may be available on secondment.
