Role:
My client is a top 5 contractor that works on projects up to the value of £300 million. Projects include schools, universities, offices, retail parks, hospitals, stations and mixed use schemes. This contractor has an international reutation for their high performance and ever increasing levels of staff commitment and enjoyment. Their turnover for last year came in at over €5 billion with all of their 4 divisions growing substantially.
Having recently established a new and specialised build division and employing a reputable head of planning they have outlined a requirement for a project planner to be based part time in Hertfordshire and part time in Central London. The role will offer a 50/50 split between tender and site planning. The chosen software is Asta Powerproject.
A competitive salary of up to £52,000 + package is on offer with this position. Also on offer will be sponsored education and structured career development with 1 on 1 mentorship from senior management.
The candidate:
- Minimum of 4 years construction planning experience for a recognised contractor
- A strong knowledge and understanding of Asta Powerproject software
- Site planning and of tender planning experience required process
- Will ideally hold experience in either site management, site engineering or project management
- Relevant degree or qualification
- Will be able to work both as part of a team and on own initiative
- Must have strong written and personal skills and be a good communicator
- Will be highly career motivated and enthusiastic
- Must have a valid UK driving licence, this is essential
- Must be eligible to live and work in the UK, visa sponsorship is not offered
