Project Controls Manager - Brisbane
My client is a global EPCM organization that employs circa 10,000 people for their operations worldwide within specialist sectors including mining, minerals, infrastructure, transportation and energy sectors. Due to increasing workloads they are currently seeking to appoint a Project Controls Manager to join their team based in Brisbane.
The Project Controls Manager will be responsible the following:
- Responsible for the effective implementation of project controls including progress measurement, change management, planning, cost engineering, estimating and EPCM resource forecasting.
- Provides support to the Project Managers for administration client contract;
- Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of all necessary procedures and tools for the project controls function.
- Ensuring that the project controls group has adequate staff and resources to effectively deliver the project controls function to the project.
- Establishment and distribution of baseline information for schedule, cost and resource management.
- Responsible for the establishment and operation of the project trending and change management systems.
- Responsible for the site control functions including direct and indirect hours collection, forecast, and earned value reporting;
- Preparation of weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports to the client and the project team.
- Responsible for interfacing with the project manager and the client team to identify deviations from the approved schedule.
- Makes presentations to management and clients as required.
- Implementation of staff development of the project controls staff.
Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience to be considered for this opportunity.
- Hold an engineering degree or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years Project Controls experience
- Previous experience of working with an EPCM organization is essential.
- Mining and / or Oil & Gas experience is required.
- Stable career history
- Major project experience and exposure to all areas of project controls.
