Assistant Planning Modeller – West Midlands
An Assistant Planning Modeller is required by a leading Main Contractor based in the West Midlands – the successful candidate will join a 12 person strong Planning department and be responsible for creating construction sequenced 3D models of schemes being tendered. The 3D models will be enhanced with 4D technology for time eventing, presentation / submission imaging and subsequent construction management.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities include:
- Construction sequence 3D modeling using Google SketchUp, Autodesk or Revit.
- Generating 4D dynamic links between the Planners programme and the 3D models
- Producing presentable outputs for tender submissions, method statements and presentations to clients.
The ideal candidates will possess the following attributes:
- A construction related qualification; HND equivalent or higher
- Experience in 3D modelling with an awareness of software developments
- Awareness of construction planning and sequence
- Good communication skills, both verbally and illustratively
This opportunity would suit an Architectural Assistant / Technician or CAD Technician who is keep to diversify their career into planning or a Planning Engineer with 3D/4D modelling / design experience.
On offer is a basic salary of between £25-33,000 plus benefits package which includes car / car allowance, 25 day holiday plus bank holidays, pension, life assurance, BUPA healthcar and gym subsidy.
