Due to recent award of a number of lucrative rail projects, an opportunity has arisen for a P6 planning professional to join a market leading consultancy in the role of Project Planner.
This challenging and rewarding position is to be based in Central London and will see you work on a variety of lucrative rail engineering projects.
The Role and Responsibilities
The key purpose of the role of Project Planner to provide planning expertise for a variety of complex multi-disciplined rail engineering projects. You will prepare and maintain project programmes using Primavera P6. You will update the Project Manager on a regular basis with project progress reports which will include and resource and cost issues. Working closely with the project team, you will implement and develop innovative technical solutions for any problems as well as co-ordinating engineering functions.
Requirements
In order to be considered for the role of Project Planner, candidates will need to demonstrate and possess the following:
*Degree qualified in an engineering discipline
*Current experience working in a planning capacity for a consultancy or main contractor within the UK rail market
*Strong commercial awareness, including cost planning and budget management
*Experience of using Primavera P6 and MS Project
*Excellent communication skills and relationship building skills
