Planner, London, Attractive salary, allowances and pension

You will be responsible for the handover of packages of work on this prestigious tunneling project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review change events eg Notified Compensation Event (NCE) or Project Manager's Instruction (PMI)
  • Production of change event programmes with assistance from engineering/construction staff
  • Updating the current programme to include the effects of change events with reference to the relevant NCE or Early Warning Notice (EWN).  Following the Change Control procedure.
  • Attend risk review meetings where EWNs are discussed.
  • Regular site visits so as to assist site teams with planning matters where change is relevant.
  • Co-ordination with the cost planner and commercial department regarding change events
  • Sees potential of new ideas and situations and takes practical approach to change-looking at impact it may have on self and others; demonstrating the ability to explain it to colleagues.
  • Capacity to take longer term commercial view - understands some of the strategic implications of decisions.
  • Cohesive and encouraging approach to team working; developing inter-team collaboration inside and outside the organisation.

  • Construction experience ideally with HND/HNC level qualifications.
  • Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of planning and construction activities.
  • Compluter literate (Proficient in the use of Primavera P6/P8 planning software)
  • Knowledge & Experience of NEC form of contract Rational and systematic analysis of situation
  • Excellent rational and systematic analysis of situations
  • Good people management skills
  • Good verbal communication and influenceing skills
  • The ability to work with initiative when outside influences affect planned operations
  • Excellent Strategic and Commercial awareness
