Planning Manager - £75K plus package

A Planning Manager is currently required by a leading international consultancy to be responsible for managing and taking leadership of a team of circa 14 Planning Engineers on a major infrastructure project in West London. On offer is a basic salary of up to £75,000 plus a benefits package comprising of car or car allowance, pension, healthcare etc.

SPECIFIC JOB DESCRIPTION:
 

• To provide leadership to planning teams working at on the same site but in various sub-programmes, to maintain a high level of quality and integrity of data and best practice
• Coordinate the overall strategic plan for the whole programme of works and maintain and communicate this to the planning team and the leadership team.
• Knowledge of contract forms, specifically NEC and how these influence the set-up and delivery of planning and project controls
• Drive the integration of planning with other project controls disciplines, such as risk, change, cost, and production metrics etc. When necessary provide training and development.
• Drive the integration of the plans across the programmes and provide a strategic overview to capture all of the works and review the impact of changes.
• Act as a single point of contract between the programme teams and the PMO for reporting

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong  understanding of the whole construction process from inception through to completion
• A detailed understanding of all aspects of planning, earned value and related project controls disciplines is required, including schedule risk analysis.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Must possess organizational skills and leadership skills.
• Degree qualified in a Construction Related Discipline and membership or an industry recognized body an advantage.
• Experience of leading a planning team in major a Infrastructure programme in a multi phased, complex environment is essential.
