Senior Planning Engineer – Civils - £60,000 plus package
My client is a well recognised and respected Main Contractor both in the UK and Internationally. In the UK they work out of a network of offices that enables them to provide project delivery and construction expertise locally to their clients.
Due to a significant increase in current workloads they are seeking to appoint a Senior Planning Engineer to join their Civil Engineering Division based in Hertfordshire. Joining an already existing team the Senior Planning Engineer will be responsible for working alongside the Pre-Construction team and assisting the business secure further projects. Their Civil Engineering business unit is involved in the UK’s most complex and high profile projects within the roads, rail, nuclear, water and energy sectors.
The Senior Planning Engineer will be responsible for preparing well-engineered programmes, which add to the tender chances of success, assessing tender temporary works requirements and value engineering solutions, assessing tender major quantities and assess errors/discrepancies and presenting programme philosophy and tender strategy advantages to client at interview/presentation.
Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience to be considered for this opportunity:
- Good understanding of various forms of tender documents, contract documents and specifications.
- Good understanding of various methods of planning, programming and progress monitoring.
- Good understanding of risk and opportunity management with particular reference to planning/programming.
- Good understanding of the construction market, methods of construction, plant, equipment and labour requirements.
- Previous Tender experience on major civil engineering projects.
On offer is a basic salary of up to £60,000 per annum plus an attractive benefits package which includes car or car allowance, pension, healthcare etc.
