Planning Engineer – Central London
Planning Engineer is required by leading multi disciplinary consultancy. They have over half a century of experience in the delivery of complex projects to clients around the World. Due to increasing workloads they are now seeking to appoint a Planning Engineer for their Central London office. On offer is a basic salary of up to £55,000 per annum plus a benefits package comprising of car or car allowance, pension, healthcare, profit share, bonus etc.
Reporting to the Planning Director the successful candidate will join their specialist project planning team and be responsible for the programming, some design, procurement and approval activities for major projects to include buidings, infrastructure and energy.
Responsibilities
- Production of Level 1 to Level 4 project programmes/schedules using Primavera P6 and, at times, Microsoft Project/Asta
- Production of construction phasing plans and other visual techniques to communicate the schedule to the other members of the project team
- Scheduling and Earned Value Analysis
- Project progress reporting and dashboards
- Attending project team meetings to present work and support other members of project teams.
Candidate Specification
- Have relevant professional qualification, ideally to degree standard, in an engineering or building discipline
- At least 5 years site experience on significant construction projects
- Self motivated and proactive
- Very good communicator (verbal, written and listening) and with strong influencing skills
- Good Client Facing skills
