Planning Engineer – Major Civils Project – London
My client is a leading main contractor who has a wealth of experience in the delivery of large and complex civil engineering and infrastructure projects both in the UK and Overseas. Due to recently being awarded a large scale infrastructure project in London they are now currently seeking to appoint a Planning Engineer to become an important member of the site delivery team.
The Planning Engineer will be responsible for producing programmes for Design, Procurement, Construction, Installation & Commissioning activities for a section of the project from tender through to completion; also reviewing the progress of programmes on a regular cycle and management reporting as and when required. Working alongside the engineering team you will be required to produce programmes from “first principles”, liaising with the site teams regarding input into the programme development, collation of progress information and production of progress monitoring, updating the programme following Change Control procedure and for assisting the site teams with planning matters.
Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience to be considered for this opportunity:
- Minimum 4 years planning experience.
- HNC / HND qualification in an engineering discipline or equivalent.
- Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of planning and construction activities.
- Main contractor experience
- Good knowledge of Primavera P6 planning software.
On offer is a basic salary of up to £45,000 per annum plus a main contractors benefits package comprising of car or cal allowance, pension, BUPA, travel expenses etc.
