Senior Planner or Planner – Build & Construction – Permanent – West Midlands – Asta Powerproject – Salary up to £58,000 + package.
One of Gold Group’s oldest clients has recently picked up a new opportunity for a Senior Planner to join a team of 5 planners in the West Midlands. This role has arisen due to a high increase in workload and the relocation of a long standing member of the team. The role will offer a 50/50 split between tender and site planning on projects worth up to £50 million that include schools, offices, retail developments, prisons and fire stations. The software currently in use is Asta Powerproject and the duties of the role will include prelims, method statements, logistics, progress reports and maintaining records. As a senior planner, this recruit would also be involved with client presenting and mentoring junior members of the team.
The candidate:
- Minimum of 4 years direct planning experience on build projects
- A mix of tender and site based planning experience
- A good understanding and background using Asta Powerproject
- An understanding of Microsoft Project and Primavera is desired but not essential
- Will ideally have worked on BSF schemes though this is not essential
- Experience with preparing programmes, prelims, method statements, logistics planning and maintaining records
- Strong site awareness, possibly some site engineering/management or project management experience thought this is not essential
- Will be well spoken, well presented and highly career motivated
- Must live within a 1.5 hour commute of the West Midlands or will be willing to relocate to the area permanently
- Must have a valid UK driving licence
- Must be fully eligible to live and work in the UK, no visa sponsorship is currently being offered due to the high urgency of this role

- Salary of between £44,000 and £58,000
